Marble in Museum homes
Museum has a small number of condos on Mount Sophia and around Sophia Road. Mount Sophia and Bras Basah condos are mostly newer, with marble or large-format tiles in the living areas. Their main problem is usually etching and dullness, not deep wear.

About Museum
The Museum planning area is named after the National Museum of Singapore, which opened on Stamford Road in 1887.
Fort Canning Hill, once called Bukit Larangan ('Forbidden Hill'), was the seat of 14th-century Malay rulers and later a British fort.
Mount Sophia had schools and old bungalows for most of the 20th century. Today it's home to condos such as Sophia Hills, built partly on the former Methodist Girls' School site.
Landmarks
- National Museum of Singapore – Opened 1887 on Stamford Road.
- Fort Canning Park – Historic hill park.
- Singapore Management University – City campus around Bras Basah.
- Mount Sophia – Quiet residential hill behind Dhoby Ghaut.
