Bathroom Marble Floor Polishing & Restoration in Central Singapore

Bathroom marble floors face water, soap, hair dye, cosmetics and acidic cleaners every day. They lose their shine fast, collect soap scum and limescale, and can turn yellow around the toilet. We deep-clean, hone and polish the floor, treat stains, and seal it. If the floor is slippery when wet, we can finish it honed (matt) for better grip.

Bathroom Marble Floor: what you should know

Why bathroom marble wears so fast

Most bathroom cleaners and limescale removers are acidic, and acid etches marble. Hard water leaves mineral deposits. Soap and shampoo build up a film. Together they leave the floor dull, cloudy and harder to clean, often within a year or two.

Anti-slip: honed finish

A high-gloss marble floor can be slippery when wet. A honed finish is smoother to the eye but has more grip underfoot, and it hides etching better. Many homeowners choose gloss for the rest of the home and honed in the bathroom.

Yellowing around the toilet

Yellow or brown marks around the toilet base usually come from urine and cleaners soaking into the stone. A poultice, followed by honing and polishing, usually removes them. Sealing makes them less likely to return.

Aftercare

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner, not limescale removers or bleach sprays. Squeegee the shower area after use, and reseal the shower floor every 1 to 2 years.

Frequently asked questions

Can a slippery marble bathroom floor be made safer?

Yes. A honed (matt) finish gives more grip than high gloss without changing the look much. It's a popular choice for homes with children or elderly family members.

How do I clean a marble bathroom floor?

Use warm water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid vinegar, limescale removers, bleach and most bathroom sprays. Squeegee the shower after use to reduce limescale.

Can you remove yellow marks around the toilet?

Usually, yes. We use a poultice to draw out the staining, then hone and polish. Very old marks may only fade.

Can I use the bathroom on the same day?

You can usually walk on it the same evening. If we seal the floor, avoid showering for 12 to 24 hours.
