Which areas do you cover?

All 22 planning areas of Singapore's Central Region: Toa Payoh, Bishan, Queenstown, Bukit Merah, Kallang, Geylang, Marine Parade, Novena, Bukit Timah, Tanglin, Newton, River Valley, Orchard, Museum, Rochor, Outram, Singapore River, Downtown Core, Southern Islands, Marina South, Marina East and Straits View.

How much does marble polishing cost?

Marble floor polishing starts from $1 per sq ft with a minimum charge of $350. A condo unit of about 1,000 sq ft starts from $1,000. Stain, etch, vanity top, wall and regrouting work is quoted from photos.

How long does it take?

A single room or bathroom floor takes half a day to a day. A 1,000 sq ft condo unit takes 2 to 3 days. You can walk on each area once it's dry.

Do you work in condos with strict renovation rules?

Yes. Most central condos need a renovation notice, lift booking and set working hours. Send us the rules and we'll provide the documents management asks for.

Is marble polishing dusty?

No. It's a wet process, so there's slurry instead of dust. We sheet off walls, cabinets and doorways and clean up every day.

What's the difference between an etch and a stain?

An etch is a dull, lighter mark from acid, fixed by honing and polishing. A stain is a darker mark from something soaking in, fixed with a poultice. Red wine usually leaves both.

What does marble floor polishing include?

Protection of walls and cabinets, diamond honing in stages, a final polish to the finish you choose, sealing, clean-up and an inspection together.

What may cost extra?

Heavy grinding for uneven tiles, deep stain removal, chip and crack filling, regrouting or tile replacement, furniture moving on larger jobs, and difficult access such as no lift.

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes: $350 per job for polishing and $250 for sealing only. Combining several areas or a bathroom with the floor in one visit is better value.

Why do some companies quote much less?

Very low quotes are often for a crystallisation spray or wax coating only, which doesn't remove scratches or etching. Ask what grits will be used.

How do I pay?

PayNow or bank transfer after the job is finished and you've inspected it.

How much does marble polishing cost in Singapore?

Our marble polishing starts from $1 per sq ft with a minimum of $350. A 1,000 sq ft condo unit starts from $1,000. Heavy grinding, deep stains and repairs are quoted from photos.

Is marble polishing messy?

It's a wet process, so there's no dust, but there is slurry. We cover walls, cabinets and doorways with plastic sheeting and tape, and clean up before we leave.

Can I stay at home during polishing?

Yes. We work room by room, so you can use the rest of the home. You can walk on a polished floor once it is dry, usually within an hour or two.

How long does the shine last?

With daily sweeping and a neutral cleaner, the shine usually lasts several years. High-traffic areas may need a light buff every 1 to 2 years.

Do you polish marble in HDB flats?

Yes. Older HDB flats often have marble or crazy-paving marble chip floors, and they polish up very well.

How long does marble floor polishing take?

A typical condo unit of about 1,000 sq ft takes 2 to 3 days. Floors with uneven tiles that need grinding take longer.

Will my floor look new?

In most homes, yes. Scratches, dullness and etch marks are removed. Deep stains, cracks and chips are improved with poultices and resin filling, and we tell you before we start what will and won't come out.

Matt, satin or gloss: which should I choose?

Gloss looks the most dramatic and is easy to clean. Satin and matt hide scratches and footprints better and are less slippery when wet, which is useful in kitchens and for elderly family members.

Do I need to move furniture?

Small items and rugs, yes. We can help move large furniture within the home if you tell us when booking.

Do condos need a permit?

Most condos need a renovation notice and lift booking. Send us the management's rules and we'll provide the documents they ask for.

Can you repair a cracked marble tile without replacing it?

Often, yes. Hairline and narrow cracks are filled with colour-matched resin and polished flush. Tiles cracked right through or loose are better replaced.

Will the repair be visible?

From standing height a good repair is usually hard to see. Close up, a filled area may show slightly, especially on very light or very dark marble.

I don't have spare tiles. Can you still replace one?

We can source a close match for common marbles. For rare marble, we may take a tile from inside a wardrobe or under fixed furniture and fill that spot instead.

Do hollow tiles always need fixing?

Not always straight away, but hollow tiles crack easily under heavy furniture or dropped objects. Fixing them early is usually cheaper.

Can you remove oil stains from marble?

Usually, yes. Oil stains respond well to a solvent-based poultice, though old, deep stains may need two or three applications.

Can rust stains be removed?

Fresh rust stains often come out with a specialist rust poultice. Old rust stains can be stubborn and may only fade. We test first.

Why is my white marble turning yellow?

Common causes are old wax or coatings, dirty mop water soaking in, or iron in the stone reacting with moisture. Stripping old coatings and polishing often fixes it. Yellowing from inside the stone is harder and we'll tell you honestly after a test.

Will sealing stop stains?

Sealing slows down how fast liquids soak in, giving you time to wipe them up. It doesn't make marble stain-proof, and it doesn't stop etching from acids.

What is an etch mark on marble?

A dull or cloudy spot where acid has dissolved the polished surface. It is lighter than the stone, while a stain is darker.

Can etch marks be removed?

Yes. Light etching is polished out; deeper etching is honed first. The shine is restored to match the rest of the stone.

Can I fix etching myself?

Very light etching can sometimes be improved with a marble polishing powder. Deeper etching needs diamond pads and a machine, and DIY attempts often leave a patchy finish.

Which cleaners cause etching?

Anything acidic: vinegar, lemon-based cleaners, limescale removers, many bathroom sprays and some all-purpose cleaners. Use a cleaner labelled pH-neutral or safe for natural stone.

Can red wine stains be removed from marble?

Yes, in most cases. Fresh stains come out more easily, but even older marks usually lighten a lot or disappear with one or two poultices, followed by polishing to remove the etch ring.

Why is there still a dull ring after the colour is gone?

That's the etching from the wine's acid. It needs honing and polishing, which we do as part of the same job.

Do you restore marble dining tables?

Yes, on site. We treat wine, coffee and water rings and re-polish the whole top so the finish is even.

Should I try bleach on a wine stain?

No. Bleach can discolour some marbles and won't fix the etching. Rinse with water, blot and send us a photo.

Can a slippery marble bathroom floor be made safer?

Yes. A honed (matt) finish gives more grip than high gloss without changing the look much. It's a popular choice for homes with children or elderly family members.

How do I clean a marble bathroom floor?

Use warm water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid vinegar, limescale removers, bleach and most bathroom sprays. Squeegee the shower after use to reduce limescale.

Can you remove yellow marks around the toilet?

Usually, yes. We use a poultice to draw out the staining, then hone and polish. Very old marks may only fade.

Can I use the bathroom on the same day?

You can usually walk on it the same evening. If we seal the floor, avoid showering for 12 to 24 hours.

Can you polish a marble vanity top without removing it?

Yes. All work is done in place. We protect the basin, taps and cabinet and finish the edges by hand.

Can rings from bottles be removed?

Yes. Dull rings are etching and are honed and polished out. Rust rings need a poultice first.

Do you replace the silicone around the basin?

Yes. We remove old mouldy silicone, clean the joint and apply a fresh, neutral-cure silicone that's safe for natural stone.

Do you also do marble kitchen tops and tables?

Yes. The same process works for kitchen counters, islands, coffee tables and dining tables.

Can you polish marble bathroom walls?

Yes. We use hand-held polishers and pads on walls, working down through the grits, then polish and seal.

Can you remove hard water marks from marble shower walls?

Yes, without acid. We use stone-safe cleaners and honing to remove the mineral layer, then polish.

How long is the bathroom out of use?

Usually 1 to 2 days. If we regrout or seal, avoid showering for 24 hours after we finish.

Is this cheaper than renovating?

Usually much cheaper, with no hacking, no debris and far less disruption.

Can you regrout marble without damaging the tiles?

Yes. We remove grout by hand and with fine oscillating blades rather than a grinder, which protects the marble edges.

Should I use epoxy grout?

For showers and wet areas, epoxy is more water- and mould-resistant. For dry floors, a colour-matched cement grout usually looks more natural with marble.

Can you match my existing grout colour?

Yes. We bring colour samples and match the marble or the existing grout.

How long before I can shower?

Usually 24 hours after cement grout and 24 to 48 hours after epoxy, depending on the product.
